BASIC HANDGUN/AR LIVE FIRE
Put to the test the 4 primary firearms safety rules, proper grip, stance, loading, unloading, sight picture, sight alignment, and now properly demonstrate your new abilities in various live-fire shooting assignments.
REMEDIATIONS
All Guns Malfunction. It does not matter what make, model, or how expensive it is, it is going to happen. Murphy's law will tell you that it will be at the least convenient time. Your job as the operator of the gun is to immediately recognize and diagnose the problem. Then without hesitation conduct the proper remediation. This is what will make you a true operator of the weapon platform.
DEFENSIVE HOLSTER DRAW
Here you will be given a simple step-by-step procedure on how to safely draw and re-holster your gun. You will be confident to engage from 3 different shooting positions, which transfer into real-life scenarios. You will be able to explain “an aggressive draw”, “being first & being last” and understand why this is crucial to your own personal protection. I schedule different levels based on the demand of my students.
OR
The AR 15 platform is a versatile weapon and can shoot long distances. Understanding your point of aim in relation to the point of impact is critical to fully utilizing this weapon system. Here we will define what "zeroing" means, including the advantages and disadvantages of zero distances. With this knowledge and my assistance, you will then zero your weapon to your desired yardage. Time permitting we can test out your zeroing at different distances
RAPID FIRE ENGAGEMENTS
This is not machine gun shooting. We are not just spraying rounds fast and hoping for the best. Having the ability to "control" the trigger is what we will work on. Effectively placing 2 or 3 rounds in rapid succession (one immediately after the other) in the desired target zone is the key. This may sound simple however we must have a firm grasp on the fundamental principles or the rounds will be or could be errant.
