"Your Training Works!"
Hey Mike, long time no see. I wanted to tell you I’ve put your training to
good use lately! I’ve been working overnight this week at a high school they’re doing
construction on. Wednesday night I had a burglary in progress out there. I used your low-
light, room clearing, and handcuff training and cleared the building and was able to catch
the guy and apprehend him without incident. He looked like a deer in headlights when I lit
him up with that TLR-1HL. Knowing how to move in low light only using the light when
needed was invaluable. I had him cuffed on the curb by the time PD got there. Dude had a
whole truck full of stolen stuff from other properties and a felony warrant. PD said he will
likely be tied to a whole bunch of other thefts and burglaries in the area. I was cool, calm,
and knew exactly what to do to deal with the situation. So thank you! Your training works!

"Mike Watkins is an absolutely awesome instructor."
He's probably hands down, the best firearms instructor I've ever had. He's patient, thorough, and able to quickly diagnose areas where you need correction and improvement. In my opinion, at the end of his one-hour class, I learned more about how to safely handle and accurately fire my Glock 17, especially in an active shooter or home defense situation, than in all of the other classes I've had. I'm definitely looking forward to training with Mike again.

Fundamentals 4 training makes it easy to See open training times and to book them At my convenience. Mike is on time and ready to train. Mike does an excellent job making you feel comfortable and able to focus on the training. I feel much more confident with my weapon after receiving his training. I would highly recommend his courses to all.

"Great with first-timers"
My first time training with owner/lead instructor Mike Watkins was about 2 years ago for a holster draw class. It was Instantly obvious Mike had a passion for teaching. I was trying to learn to use a triple retention pistol holster. Mike was patient and walked me through the steps. In an hour and a half, I went from trying to pull my belt off while drawing to drawing fairly smooth, he also taught me some techniques to defend my holster which was definitely above and beyond what I had paid for. Fast forward to today and I have taken numerous classes, clinics, and private lessons from Mike across various weapons platforms. I have taken firearms classes where the instructor spends most of the class focusing on how good he is, I enjoy Mike’s style because he is down to earth and focuses entirely on the student’s performance and education. This is an especially rare thing given Mike’s extensive resume. You don’t need to be an experienced shooter to benefit from Mike’s class because he is great with first- timers and never talks down or makes assumptions. I enjoyed his training so much I took my teenaged daughter to one of his personal defense classes. She liked it so much she now has 3 or 4 classes under her belt.

Michael is an intensely focused instructor with great real-world experience and lots of practical skills and drills to improve any shooter's confidence. "Unbelievable Informative"
So, tonight, my lovely bride Kristin decided to treat me to a surprise. I’ve joined her in taking Michael Watkins pistol classes, and what an amazing time I’ve had. That being said, I’ve owned my Sig M400 .223 for years now, and I’ve never put a round downrange. I’ve known the basic information about AR-15’s since I can remember, but tonight was absolutely eye-opening. She treated me to a night of training with my AR. I cannot say enough about Michael Watkins and his classes. They are unbelievably informative, and this guy is a class act. He’s beyond knowledgeable with firearms, tactics, and smarts. Hands down the most fun I’ve had while learning. If anyone would like to join me next time, please let me know.

I just finished my second session with Mike today. If someone is looking for training, I would highly
recommend Mike. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. One
really great thing about Mike is his patience which is often hard to find with a firearms trainer. Mike
focuses his training around what the student wishes to accomplish and makes accommodations for
it. The thing that impressed me the most was how humble Mike is considering his impressive
resume. I have met plenty of instructors that tend to spend most of a class bragging about
themselves instead of focusing on the student. Mike made me feel comfortable and I surely feel that
I received a lot better class than I paid for and I am looking forward to our next meeting.

Some tell Some teach, Some change lives. Mike is the latter. I will start by saying Mike is an
Amazing instructor! I have been to ranges and training with my husband over the years learning a
little here and there. When he began training with Mike over a year ago he raved about him and
insisted I come along. I finally did, and since have realized Mike is like no other. He has given me
more confidence in the last few months than I have ever had with a firearm. He is extremely
knowledgable, patient, and Most importantly relatable (despite his rockstar resume). The
"Fundamentals" he has trained me on has changed the way I view my personal protection and
safety. My husband and I now go together weekly and I look forward to building on each training
session. Each time we leave we are grateful to have found someone to continue to grow with.

Want to give a big shout-out to Michael Watkins at Fundamentals 4 Training.
A little story: I was introduced to Mike a few months ago by Amanda. I had watched the videos of her training, looked at the pictures, and then finally decided that I was ready and wanted to give it a try. From the moment I spoke with Mike on the phone, I knew that he was the trainer for me. The calmness of his voice, the questions he asked me and the willingness to help people become familiar and comfortable with their firearms had me fired up and feeling ready to take this journey. We had our first training session and I was completely sold. I have been around firearms all of my life but the things he taught me that day were things I was never shown. Since that day I have had a few more sessions and each time I learn something new and gain more confidence in myself to handle my firearm. I said it was going to be short so.....now to the best part so far... The last time I saw Mike I was having such an issue with my sight I/m right eye dominant so I was closing my eyes. I was quickly told we need to correct this. He had me do some math.... it worked! I am hitting my targets. I am so excited for our next training...I highly highly recommend Mike. Thank you
